Key Responsibilities
Clinical Responsibilities
- Assess, examine, diagnose, and manage patients in OPD, IPD, and Emergency.
- Provide timely medical treatment and stabilize emergency patients.
- Admit, transfer, refer, and discharge patients as per hospital protocols.
- Monitor patient progress and modify treatment plans when required.
- Perform procedures within the scope of MBBS practice.
- Seek specialist consultation whenever indicated.
Patient Safety & Quality
- Ensure patient identification before treatment or procedures.
- Follow clinical pathways, standard treatment protocols, and NABH guidelines.
- Report adverse events, medication errors, and sentinel events.
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives and clinical audits.
Infection Prevention & Control
- Follow hand hygiene and infection control practices.
- Use appropriate PPE and biomedical waste segregation.
- Report hospital-acquired infections and exposure incidents.
Documentation
- Maintain complete, accurate, and timely medical records.
- Document history, examination findings, diagnosis, treatment, consent, and discharge summaries.
- Ensure confidentiality of patient information.
Medication Management
- Prescribe medications safely and rationally.
- Follow hospital medication policies and antibiotic stewardship guidelines.
- Monitor patients for adverse drug reactions.
Communication
- Explain diagnosis, treatment plans, and procedures to patients and relatives.
- Obtain informed consent wherever applicable.
- Coordinate effectively with consultants, nursing staff, and allied health professionals.
Administrative Responsibilities
- Participate in departmental meetings, CMEs, and mandatory training.
- Assist during disaster management, mass casualty incidents, and medical emergencies.
- Comply with hospital policies, legal requirements, and code of conduct.
NABH Responsibilities
- Comply with NABH standards related to patient care, infection control, medication safety, medical records, patient rights, and quality improvement.
- Participate in NABH audits, quality indicators, and accreditation activities.
- Support implementation of hospital policies and standard operating procedures (SOPs).

Working Conditions
- Rotational shifts including night duties, weekends, and public holidays.
- Emergency on-call responsibilities as assigned.
Qualification
- MBBS from a recognized Medical College.
- Valid State Medical Council/National Medical Commission (NMC) Registration.
- BLS/ACLS certification (preferred).
Experience
- 0–3 years (Freshers may be considered as per hospital policy).
Pay: ₹40,000.00 - ₹75,000.00 per month
