Job Summary
We are looking for a skilled and responsible CNC Fiber Laser Machine Operator to operate laser cutting machines, ensure high-quality production, and meet daily production targets while maintaining machine safety and efficiency.
Key Responsibilities
- Operate CNC Fiber Laser Cutting Machine as per production schedule.
- Load and unload MS, SS, GI, Aluminium, and other metal sheets safely.
- Set up jobs, select correct parameters, and monitor cutting quality.
- Read and understand engineering drawings and DXF files.
- Perform nesting and verify material utilization before cutting (if required).
- Inspect cut parts for dimensional accuracy and edge quality.
- Remove slag, burrs, and separate finished components.
- Mark, count, and hand over finished parts to the next process.
- Carry out daily machine cleaning and preventive maintenance.
- Check nozzle, lens, gas pressure, and consumables before operation.
- Maintain production records and machine logbook.
- Report machine issues or quality concerns immediately.
- Follow all safety procedures and wear PPE at all times.
- Maintain cleanliness of the laser area using 5S practices.
Required Skills
- Experience operating CNC Fiber Laser Cutting Machines.
- Ability to read engineering drawings.
- Knowledge of different materials and cutting parameters.
- Basic computer skills.
- Understanding of machine maintenance and troubleshooting.
- Knowledge of measuring instruments such as Vernier Caliper and Measuring Tape.
- Good attention to detail.
Preferred Qualifications
- ITI/Diploma in Mechanical Engineering or relevant trade.
- 2–5 years of experience operating CNC Fiber Laser Machines.
- Experience with nesting software is an advantage.
