We are looking for Assembly Technicians to assemble, install, and maintain Special Purpose Machines (SPM). The candidate will be responsible for mechanical assembly, machine fitting, alignment, testing, and supporting machine commissioning activities.
Roles & Responsibilities
- Assemble mechanical components and sub-assemblies of SPM machines.
- Read and interpret assembly drawings, mechanical drawings, and BOMs.
- Perform fitting, drilling, tapping, grinding, and alignment activities.
- Assemble linear guides, ball screws, bearings, pneumatic components, and machine structures.
- Ensure proper machine alignment and accuracy during assembly.
- Support machine testing, trial runs, and commissioning activities.
- Identify and rectify assembly-related issues.
- Coordinate with Design, Production, Electrical, and Automation teams.
- Maintain quality standards and follow safety procedures.
- Ensure timely completion of assembly activities as per project schedules.
Required Skills
- Basic knowledge of mechanical assembly and fitting.
- Ability to use hand tools, measuring instruments, and power tools.
- Knowledge of mechanical components such as bearings, couplings, shafts, gears, and pneumatic systems.
- Understanding of engineering drawings and assembly procedures.
- Good troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
Qualification
- ITI Fitter / Turner / Machinist
- Diploma in Mechanical Engineering
- Freshers and experienced candidates can apply.
Preferred Skills
- Experience in SPM Machine Assembly, Automation Machines, or Industrial Equipment.
- Knowledge of Pneumatics, Hydraulics, and Machine Alignment.
- Experience in machine installation and commissioning is an added advantage.
