Xovian Aerospace is deploying AI-Native RF satellite infrastructure for providing 24x7 real-time Geospatial and Signals Intelligence (GEOINT & SIGINT). The startup aims at cutting down the human & economic toll and bring operational efficiency across industries by providing asset monitoring and situational awareness through its RF satellite driven, sector agnostic decision Intelligence platform.
The startup's team is comprised of Ex-ISRO personnel & Industry Experts with vast Experience in Satellite Missions and has won multiple national awards for its innovative indigenous developments.
RF Systems Engineer (Front-End + Antenna)
Core Mission
Design and validate high-sensitivity RF sensing systems, including antennas and front-end architectures, optimized for weak, indirect, and environment-affected signals.
Key Responsibilities
RF Front-End & System Design
- Architect low-noise, high dynamic range RF chains (LNA filtering conversion digitization)
- Design for weak signal acquisition in multi-path, interference-rich environments
- Optimize system-level performance: noise figure, linearity, selectivity, and dynamic range
- Perform RF link and propagation analysis including Doppler, attenuation, and polarization effects
Antenna & EM System Design
- Design and optimize antennas for wide-area sensing and signal capture, including multi-band / wide-band antennas
- Develop directional and quasi-omnidirectional patterns depending on mission needs
- Evaluate gain vs coverage trade-offs, polarization behavior, and radiation efficiency
- Develop antenna + RF co-design strategies (impedance matching, feed integration)
- Use HFSS/CST for radiation pattern optimization, coupling analysis, and platform effects
- Support antenna calibration and field characterization for multi-channel systems
Signal Environment Awareness
- Account for signal reflections, scattering, and propagation-induced distortions
- Design systems robust to multi-path interference, time-varying signal conditions, and frequency/phase instability
Validation & Testing
- Develop RF and antenna test plans including S-parameters, radiation patterns, and efficiency
- Validate sensitivity, detection thresholds, and interference response
- Support an-echoic chamber and field testing
- Collaborate with backend teams for system validation
What We’re Looking For
- A deep understanding that antenna defines observable signals
- Experience in antenna + RF co-design and real-world signal conditions
- Experience with wide-band and multi-frequency sensing systems
Core Competencies
- Electromagnetism & antenna theory
- Transmission lines and impedance matching
- HFSS/CST (must-have), ADS (good-to-have)
- RF lab equipment (VNA, spectrum analyzer)
Preferred Background
4-6 years in RF + antenna systems in space, aerospace, defense, or sensing domains
Experience with multi-antenna or distributed sensing systems
