What is in it for you?
As a Lead Engineer - Mobile Automation Testing, you will be responsible to support the member portal redesign and mobile application buildout from scratch. This role is heavily execution-focused and requires deep expertise in mobile automation, API and microservices testing, Azure cloud validation, and AI-enabled quality engineering. This role requires a technically strong and self-driven contributor who can independently manage automation deliverables end-to-end, collaborate effectively with onshore QA leads and engineering teams, and ensure high quality across web, mobile, API, and cloud-native healthcare systems.
Responsibilities: -
- Design, develop, execute, and maintain robust automation test suites across platforms:
- Automated web application testing for member portals using Playwright, ensuring functionality, performance, and cross-browser compatibility.
- Developed and maintained mobile automation frameworks using Appium for both iOS and Android platforms to validate end-to-end user workflows.
- Designed, executed, and automated API test cases using Postman to ensure reliability, accuracy, and seamless integration of backend services.
- Extend and enhance automation frameworks built for scalability, reliability, and maintainability.
- Implement industry best practices including Page/screen object models, reusable utilities and test services, and stable selectors and resilient test design.
- Ensure automation suites are CI/CD ready and execute reliably through Azure DevOps pipelines.
- Own automated testing for native/React Native mobile applications.
- Validate mobile specific behaviors such as navigation flows, device permissions, offline scenarios, and OS-level interactions.
- Contribute to and maintain BDD-based automation frameworks.
- Develop and execute Gherkin-based feature and scenario files aligned with business workflows.
- Perform testing for Microservices-based architectures such as REST API functional validation, integration testing across services, and end-to-end workflow validation
- Execute QA validation for applications on Microsoft Azure.
- Work across environments such as Dev, QA, UAT.
- Validate deployments, configurations, post-release stability.
- Leverage AI-based testing capabilities such as Intelligent regression selection, test optimization and maintenance, and Flaky test detection.
- Provide feedback to improve test stability and effectiveness.

Educational Qualifications: -
- Engineering Degree – BE/ME/BTech/MTech/BSc/MSc.
- Technical certification in multiple technologies is desirable.

- Minimum over 5 years of hands-on experience in QA and test automation
- Strong experience in mobile application testing (automation focus)
- Experience in Microservices and API-driven systems
- Hands-on experience in Microsoft Azure validation
- Practical exposure to BDD frameworks and practices
- Sauce Labs/BrowserStack
Good to Have Skills: -
- Exposure to healthcare domain, data governance, or compliance
- Experience in automation frameworks or CI/CD pipelines
- Experience in leading test efforts or mentoring team members
