You'll lead the editing for high-output reels, shorts, and podcast content — owning the visual style, pacing, and quality bar for the studio's content. You'll also mentor junior editors and help set editing standards and workflows.
What You'll Do
- Independently edit and finalize reels, shorts, and podcast episodes at high volume
- Own pacing, sound design, color grading, captions, and motion graphics
- Set and maintain the studio's visual/editing style across content
- Collaborate with anchors, writers, and producers from concept to final cut
- Mentor and review the work of junior editors/interns
- Optimize editing workflows for speed and consistency
- Stay ahead of platform trends (Instagram/YouTube) and adapt editing style accordingly
- Manage multiple projects and deadlines simultaneously
Who We're Looking For
- Advanced proficiency in Premiere Pro / DaVinci Resolve; After Effects
- Strong storytelling instincts — knows how to hook viewers in the first 3 seconds
- Solid grasp of sound design, color correction, and pacing for short-form content
- Proven track record of editing high-performing reels/shorts (views/engagement)
- Ability to lead, give feedback, and manage a small editing team
- Highly organized, deadline-driven, and calm under high-volume production
Nice to Have
- Experience editing for a podcast studio, media house, or content agency
- Motion graphics / thumbnail design skills
- Experience managing an editing team or workflow
- A strong portfolio with measurable content performance (views, engagement)
