About the Role
BharatCares is looking for an experienced and dynamic Centre Manager to oversee the day-to-day operations of a CSR-funded Technical Skilling Centre. The Centre Manager will be responsible for ensuring the smooth implementation of training programs, learner mobilisation, centre administration, stakeholder coordination, training quality, placement facilitation, and the achievement of project targets.
The ideal candidate should possess strong experience in skill development, vocational education, training center management, industry engagement, and team leadership.
Key Responsibilities
Centre Operations & Administration
- Manage overall operations of the skilling center and ensure smooth functioning of all training activities.
- Ensure proper utilization and maintenance of training infrastructure, labs, equipment, and learning resources.
- Monitor center attendance, discipline, safety, housekeeping, and compliance standards.
- Ensure adherence to donor guidelines, organizational policies, and project requirements.
Training Program Management
- Plan and supervise technical and vocational training programs across trades such as:
- Refrigeration & Air Conditioning (RAC) Technician
- HVAC Technician
- Multi-Skill Technician (Electrical)
- Assistant Electrician
- Solar Panel Installation Technician
- Other industry-relevant technical and green jobs courses
- Coordinate training schedules, batch planning, assessments, certifications, and examinations.
- Ensure training delivery aligns with industry standards and Sector Skill Council requirements.
- Monitor trainer performance and training quality.
Learner Mobilization & Retention
- Oversee candidate mobilization activities and ensure achievement of enrollment targets.
- Monitor learner attendance, engagement, retention, and course completion rates.
- Address student grievances and provide necessary support for successful training completion.
- Promote an inclusive and positive learning environment.
Placement & Industry Linkages
- Develop and maintain relationships with employers, industries, and recruitment partners.
- Facilitate placement drives, job fairs, industry visits, guest lectures, and apprenticeship opportunities.
- Track placement outcomes, retention rates, and post-placement support activities.
- Ensure achievement of placement-linked project targets.
Stakeholder Management
- Coordinate with CSR partners, corporates, government departments, training agencies, and community stakeholders.
- Support donor visits, monitoring visits, audits, and project review meetings.
- Represent the center during stakeholder engagements and external events.
Monitoring, Evaluation & Reporting
- Maintain accurate MIS, learner records, attendance data, assessment reports, and placement records.
- Track key project indicators including:
- Mobilization
- Enrollment
- Attendance
- Certification
- Placement
- Retention
- Prepare monthly progress reports, dashboards, success stories, and impact documentation.
- Ensure timely submission of reports to management and donor agencies.
Team Management
- Supervise trainers, mobilizers, counselors, placement coordinators, and support staff.
- Conduct regular team meetings and performance reviews.
- Build a culture of accountability, collaboration, and continuous improvement.
- Provide guidance and support to ensure project goals are achieved.
Qualifications & Experience
Educational Qualification
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Engineering, Management, Social Work, Rural Management, Development Studies, Education, or a related field.
Experience
- 2-5 years of experience in Skill Development, Vocational Training, Livelihoods, Workforce Development, CSR Projects, or Training Centre Operations.
- Minimum 2 years of experience managing a training center or skilling project.
- Experience working with CSR-funded, government-funded, NSDC, or Sector Skill Council-aligned programs.
- Exposure to placement-linked skilling initiatives will be highly preferred.
