Job Summary:
The Learning & Development Trainer is responsible for designing, developing, and delivering training programs that enhance the skills and competencies of hospital staff. Drawing on best practices from the hospitality industry, this role focuses on improving patient care, customer service, and operational efficiency within the hospital setting.
Key Responsibilities:
- Training Program Development:
- Design and develop training programs tailored to the needs of hospital staff, including clinical, administrative, and support roles.
- Incorporate hospitality industry best practices to enhance patient experience and customer service skills.
- Create training materials, manuals, and other educational resources.
- Training Delivery:
- Conduct engaging and effective training sessions, workshops, and seminars.
- Utilize a variety of training methods, including classroom instruction, e-learning, and on-the-job training.
- Adapt training techniques to accommodate different learning styles and levels of experience.
- Assessment and Evaluation:
- Develop assessment tools to evaluate the effectiveness of training programs.
- Collect and analyze feedback from participants to identify areas for improvement.
- Continuously update and refine training programs based on evaluation results and emerging best practices.
- Employee Development:
- Support the professional growth and development of hospital staff by identifying training needs and providing appropriate learning opportunities.
- Mentor and coach employees to enhance their skills and career development.
- Compliance and Standards:
- Ensure all training programs comply with relevant healthcare regulations and standards.
- Maintain accurate records of training activities and employee certifications.
- Collaboration and Coordination:
- Work closely with department heads and supervisors to identify training needs and align programs with organizational goals.
- Collaborate with external training providers and industry experts as needed.
Qualifications:
- Education:
- Bachelor’s degree in Education, Human Resources, Hospitality Management, or a related field. A master’s degree is preferred.
- Experience:
- Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in training and development, preferably in the hospitality industry.
- Experience in a healthcare or hospital setting is a strong advantage.
- Skills:
- Strong presentation and facilitation skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
- Proficient in the use of training software and e-learning platforms.
- Ability to create engaging and interactive training materials.
