Job Summary
Hotel Tathagat Ashok is looking for an experienced and dedicated Housekeeping Manager to lead the housekeeping department and ensure the highest standards of cleanliness, hygiene, and guest satisfaction. The ideal candidate should possess strong leadership skills, attention to detail, and experience in hotel housekeeping operations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage and supervise the daily housekeeping operations.
- Ensure guest rooms, public areas, banquet halls, restaurants, and back-of-house areas are maintained to the highest cleanliness standards.
- Recruit, train, schedule, and supervise housekeeping staff.
- Conduct regular room inspections and quality audits.
- Maintain housekeeping inventories, linen, uniforms, guest supplies, and cleaning materials.
- Coordinate with the Front Office and Maintenance departments to ensure smooth room readiness and guest service.
- Prepare duty rosters and allocate work efficiently.
- Ensure compliance with health, hygiene, and safety standards.
- Handle guest requests and housekeeping-related complaints promptly and professionally.
- Monitor departmental expenses and maintain proper records.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree or Diploma in Hotel Management or Hospitality (preferred).
- Minimum 8-9 years of experience in hotel housekeeping, including supervisory or managerial experience.
- Strong leadership, communication, and team management skills.
- Knowledge of housekeeping procedures, cleaning chemicals, and hygiene standards.
- Ability to work in shifts, including weekends and holidays.
- Proficiency in MS Office and hotel management software is an advantage.
