A Civil Site Engineer at a pump manufacturing company oversees the construction, installation, and maintenance of heavy industrial infrastructure, including pump testing facilities, large water sumps, concrete foundations for heavy machinery, and plant drainage systems, ensuring all civil works meet strict engineering standards and safety codes.
Key Responsibilities
Site Execution: Manage daily civil construction activities for pump testing bays, foundations, and plant buildings.
Quality Control: Check raw materials, concrete mix quality, and structural layouts against design blueprints.
Foundation Design Support: Supervise deep foundation casting designed to absorb heavy vibrations from large industrial pumps.
Vendor Coordination: Guide local contractors, laborers, and trade teams to finish tasks on schedule.
Safety Compliance: Enforce factory safety rules and ensure proper PPE use on the construction floor.
Progress Tracking: Write daily site reports and update project managers on budget and timeline milestones.
Required Skills
Technical Knowledge: Strong grasp of structural engineering, soil mechanics, and industrial concrete work.
Software Literacy: Ability to read AutoCAD drawings and use basic project tracking tools.
Problem-Solving: Quick thinking to fix on-site layout or material issues without delaying production.
Communication: Clear coordination skills to work smoothly with mechanical and electrical engineering teams.
Qualifications & Experience
Education: Bachelor’s degree (B.E./B.Tech) in Civil Engineering.
Experience: 2 to 5 years of hands-on site experience, ideally within a manufacturing, heavy industry, or infrastructure sector.
Pay: ₹20,000.00 - ₹30,000.00 per month
