Job Summary:
We are seeking a skilled Mechanical Designer with strong expertise in SolidWorks to design, develop, and document mechanical components, assemblies, machines, and production equipment. The candidate will work closely with engineering, manufacturing, and project teams to create innovative, cost-effective, and manufacturable designs while ensuring compliance with industry standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Create detailed 3D models, assemblies, and 2D manufacturing drawings using SolidWorks.
- Develop mechanical designs from concept through production release.
- Generate and maintain Bills of Materials (BOMs), assembly drawings, and fabrication drawings.
- Perform design modifications, revisions, and engineering change updates.
- Apply GD&T, tolerance stack-up analysis, and drafting standards (ASME/ISO).
- Conduct interference checks and ensure manufacturability of designs.
- Collaborate with production, procurement, and quality teams for design validation and implementation.
- Support prototype development, testing, and troubleshooting activities.
- Maintain design documentation and revision control using PDM/PLM systems.
- Participate in design reviews and continuous improvement initiatives.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's/Diploma in Mechanical Engineering or related field.
- Proficiency in SolidWorks (Part Modeling, Assemblies, Drawings, Sheet Metal, Weldments).
- Strong understanding of engineering drawings, GD&T, and manufacturing processes.
- Knowledge of machining, fabrication, sheet metal, casting, or injection molding processes.
- Familiarity with BOM creation and engineering documentation.
- Good analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work independently and within cross-functional teams.
Preferred Skills
- Experience with SolidWorks PDM or other PLM systems.
- Knowledge of FEA, DFM/DFA, and tolerance analysis.
- Familiarity with AutoCAD and ERP systems.
- Experience in machine design, automation equipment, fixtures, or industrial products.
- Strong communication and project coordination skills.
Pay: ₹24,221.30 - ₹50,784.93 per month
