ABOUT THE ROLE
We are looking for an experienced Quality Manager to lead our assurance function across product development, sourcing, and manufacturing. You’ll be the gatekeeper ensuring every garment that reaches customer meets fabric, construction, fit and safety standard while- working closely with merchandising, sourcing and production team to catch issue before they become costly retail or recall.
KEY RESPONSIBLITIES
Quality System & Standard: Develop, implement and maintain quality management systems (QMS) covering raw material sourcing through finished goods, ensuring alignment with company standards and buyer/customer requirement.
Inspection Oversight: Manage the full inspection cycle- fabric inspection, pre-production sample, in line/mid-line inspections, and final inspection (AQL Based).
Vendor & Factory Management: Evaluate and audit supplier and factory performances on quality, compliances and timeliness; drive corrective and preventive action (CAPA) with outperforming partners.
Compliance & testing: Ensure products met regularity requirements (e.g, flammability, chemical restriction, labelling) and coordinate third-party lab testing for fabric and trim performance.
Defect Analysis & Reporting: Track quality metrics (defect rates, return rates, RFT-right first time) analyse root cause, and present findings with actionable recommendations to leadership.
Sample Approval: Review proto, fit, and pre-production samples against tech packs and specs; coordinate buyer feedback and sign-off before bulk production.
Team Leadership: Train, mentor and manage QA/QC staff and inspectors, both in-house and third-party.
Continuous Improvement: Lead initiatives to reduce defects, waste and rework across the supply chain; stay current on industry standards and emerging inspection technologies.
Cross-functional Collaboration: Partner with design, merchandising, sourcing, and supply chain teams to resolve quality issues without disrupting production timeliness.
QUALIFICATIONS
- You are qualified and having knowledge of writing mails
- 5-10+ years of experience in apparel/garment quality assurance, with at least 2-3 years in a managerial or supervisory capacity.
- Strong technical knowledge of fabric, pattern-making and garment specifications.
- Excellent communication and negotiation skills for vendor management.
- Willingness to travel to manufacturing sites domestically.
PREFERRED SKILLS
- Experienced with quality management software/ERP system.
- Knowledge of sustainable and ethical manufacturing practices.
- Prior experience in a specific apparel category relevant to your product line.
