ROLE OVERVIEW
The Architect will provide architectural design expertise to support the preparation of conceptual layouts, site plans, and facility design inputs for proposed integrated coaching maintenance facilities as part of the Delhi Station Decongestion Study. The role requires experience in infrastructure or station projects and proficiency in relevant design software.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Prepare conceptual architectural layouts and site plans for proposed integrated coaching maintenance facility locations
- Develop design drawings, schematic plans, and functional layouts for new maintenance and depot facilities
- Conduct site analysis and contribute to site evaluation frameworks from an architectural and master planning perspective
- Collaborate with engineering, planning, and operations experts to integrate design inputs with functional and capacity planning
- Ensure architectural designs align with railway infrastructure standards, operational requirements, and future expansion potential
- Prepare design documentation, drawings, and visual presentations for interim and final project reports
- Support urban design and station interface considerations where maintenance facilities interact with passenger terminal areas
QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE
- Bachelor's in Architecture from a recognised institution
- Preferably registered with the Council of Architecture (CoA)
- Minimum 2–3 years of professional experience in architectural design, master planning, or urban design
- Experience in station, railway, transport, or infrastructure projects preferred
- Proficiency in AutoCAD, Revit, SketchUp, or equivalent design software
- Strong skills in preparation of design drawings, technical reports, and visual presentations
