About the Role
Legacium Technologies is looking for enthusiastic and passionate Academic Counsellors to join our growing team. This role involves guiding students and parents in selecting the right academic programs, providing career counselling, and supporting them throughout the admission process.
We welcome both experienced professionals and fresh graduates who are eager to build a career in the Higher Education and EdTech industry. Freshers with excellent communication skills and a passion for counselling are encouraged to apply.
Key Responsibilities
- Counsel students and parents regarding academic programs, career opportunities, and admission procedures.
- Understand students' educational goals and recommend suitable courses and institutions.
- Handle enquiries generated through phone calls, walk-ins, websites, social media, and marketing campaigns.
- Follow up with prospective students and convert qualified leads into admissions.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with students throughout the admission journey.
- Maintain accurate records of enquiries, follow-ups, and admissions in the CRM system.
- Coordinate with the admissions and operations teams to ensure a smooth admission process.
- Achieve monthly counselling and admission targets.
- Participate in education fairs, seminars, workshops, and promotional activities when required.
Eligibility Criteria
- Bachelor's degree in any discipline (Science background preferred).
- Experienced candidates (0–2+ years) in Academic Counselling, Admissions, Sales, Customer Relationship Management, Education Consulting, or EdTech are welcome to apply.
- Freshers are highly encouraged to apply. Comprehensive training will be provided.
- Prior experience in the EdTech or Higher Education sector will be an added advantage.
Skills Required
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Strong interpersonal and counselling abilities.
- Good presentation and convincing skills.
- Ability to handle leads and convert enquiries into admissions.
- Positive attitude with a student-first approach.
- Good organizational and time management skills.
- Basic knowledge of MS Office and CRM systems is an advantage.
- Willingness to travel when required.
- Self-motivated, target-oriented, and eager to learn.
