Job Summary
We are looking for a dedicated and detail-oriented Quality Engineer to join our manufacturing team. The ideal candidate should have experience in quality inspection, process quality, and customer quality in the forging or automotive industry. The role requires ensuring product quality, reducing defects, and maintaining compliance with customer and quality management system requirements.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform incoming, in-process, and final inspection of components.
- Read and interpret engineering drawings, GD&T, and customer specifications.
- Conduct dimensional inspections using measuring instruments such as Vernier Caliper, Micrometer, Height Gauge, Bore Gauge, and Dial Indicator.
- Monitor production quality and ensure adherence to quality standards.
- Identify defects, conduct root cause analysis, and implement corrective and preventive actions (CAPA).
- Prepare inspection reports, quality records, and documentation.
- Coordinate with Production, PPC, and Maintenance teams to resolve quality-related issues.
- Participate in internal and customer audits.
- Ensure compliance with ISO 9001/IATF 16949 quality systems.
- Support continuous improvement initiatives to reduce rejection and improve process capability.
Required Qualifications
- Diploma / B.Tech / B.E. in Mechanical Engineering or a related field.
- 1–3 years of experience in Quality Engineering within the Forging, Machining, Casting, or Auto Components industry.
- Good knowledge of engineering drawings and GD&T.
- Hands-on experience with precision measuring instruments.
- Basic understanding of PPAP, APQP, FMEA, MSA, SPC, and 7 QC Tools.
- Proficiency in MS Excel.
- Strong analytical, communication, and problem-solving skills.
Pay: ₹20,000.00 - ₹26,000.00 per month
