PHE-FF Engineer
Project Planning and Budgeting
Coordinate with the Drafting Coordinator to gather inputs on drawing lists and develop tentative document schedules.
Project Execution
Prepare the Design Basis Report (DBR) to document design methodology, assumptions, and system parameters.
Review and conduct initial space planning of key components ensuring alignment with project requirements
Generate and review the Bill of Quantities (BOQ) and conduct costing analysis based on the finalized design, ensuring accurate estimation
Prepare tender documents, including design specifications, BOQs, and technical requirements for contractor bidding.
Participate in pre-bid meetings, addressing contractor queries and clarifications
Check and approve drawings at various project stages (concept, tender, GFC, as-built).
Review and approve contractor shop drawings, Technical Data Sheets (TDS), and Material Approval Submittals (MAS) to ensure compliance with project requirements.
Work closely with the drafting team to incorporate design changes in the drawings
Participate in review meetings and provide updates on design progress, changes, and any challenges impacting execution.
Project Coordination
Ensure seamless coordination with external stakeholders (clients, architect structural consultants etc) and among engineers and draftsmen across departments acting as the single point of contact for assigned projects
Drive adherence to project timelines, maintain accuracy in technical submissions, and proactively resolve bottlenecks.
Facilitate cross-functional alignment, and ensure smooth execution from design to delivery
Review engineering documents, designs and drawings for completeness and compliance while addressing inter-departmental dependencies
Quality Compliance & Documentation
Update the progress status in the CRM checklist, ensuring real-time tracking of milestones and adherence to planned schedules.
Monitor the compliance of design and drawing submission across departments with project specifications, industry codes etc
Ensure adherence to standard operating procedures (SOPs) to ensure consistency, accuracy, and compliance in all documentation and design processes.
Oversee the implementation of design plans at the site and resolve queries, ensuring adherence to approved specifications, standards, and quality requirements.
Witness and verify testing and commissioning activities to ensure that installed systems and equipment function as per design intent and project requirements.
People Management
Assist in query resolution of Jr Engineer in queries related to project design
Act as a buddy to new joinee , helping them adapt to the organization’s processes
Senior Design Engineer – MEP (Electrical / HVAC / PHE-FF)
Role Purpose
The Senior Design Engineer is responsible for planning, coordinating, reviewing, and supporting the execution of MEP designs across Electrical, HVAC, and PHE–Fire Fighting services, ensuring compliance with project requirements, timelines, and quality standards.
Key Responsibilities
1. Project Planning & Budgeting
- Coordinate with the Drafting Coordinator to finalize drawing lists and prepare tentative document and submission schedules.
- Develop and review Bills of Quantities (BOQs) based on finalized designs and conduct detailed costing analysis to ensure accurate project estimates.
- Support design feasibility and cost optimization in line with project budgets.
2. Design Development & Project Execution
- Prepare the Design Basis Report (DBR) outlining design methodology, assumptions, and system parameters.
- Review and carry out initial space planning for major equipment and systems to ensure alignment with project requirements.
- Prepare tender documents including design specifications, BOQs, and technical requirements for contractor bidding.
- Participate in pre-bid meetings and address technical queries and clarifications raised by contractors.
- Review, check, and approve drawings at various stages such as Concept, Tender, GFC, and As-Built.
- Review and approve contractor shop drawings, Technical Data Sheets (TDS), and Material Approval Submittals (MAS) to ensure compliance with approved designs and specifications.
- Coordinate closely with the drafting team to ensure timely incorporation of design revisions and updates.
3. Project Coordination
- Act as the single point of contact for assigned projects, ensuring smooth coordination with clients, architects, structural consultants, and internal engineering teams.
- Maintain inter-departmental coordination to avoid clashes, rework, and delays.
- Monitor project timelines, ensure accuracy of technical submissions, and proactively resolve design-related bottlenecks.
- Facilitate seamless coordination from design development through execution and final delivery.
4. Quality, Compliance & Documentation
- Review engineering documents, drawings, and designs for completeness, accuracy, and compliance with project specifications and applicable codes.
- Update project progress and milestones in the CRM checklist to enable real-time tracking and reporting.
- Ensure design and drawing submissions comply with SOPs, project standards, and relevant industry codes and guidelines.
- Oversee design implementation at site and resolve technical queries raised during execution.
- Witness and verify testing and commissioning activities to confirm systems perform as per approved design intent and project requirements.
5. People Management & Mentoring
- Provide technical guidance and resolve design-related queries of Junior Engineers.
- Act as a buddy for new joiners, supporting their integration into organizational processes, standards, and workflows.
- Promote design discipline, quality consciousness, and collaborative working within the team.
Qualifications & Experience
- Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical / Mechanical / Civil Engineering (relevant to MEP discipline).
- 5–10 years of experience in MEP design consulting, covering Electrical, HVAC, and PHE–Fire Fighting systems.
- Proficiency in AutoCAD; working knowledge of relevant design software and codes is preferred.
- Strong coordination, documentation, and communication skills.
Pay: ₹50,000.00 - ₹150,000.00 per month
