ABOUT THE ROLE
This is a senior individual-contributor role for someone who wants ownership over the full EC lifecycle - from ToR application through to SEAC committee approval - while mentoring the next generation of analysts coming up behind them.
You'll be the person clients and committees turn to when they need a clear, defensible answer and the person junior team members turn to when they need to learn how it's really done.
WHAT YOU'LL DO
● Coordinate EIA/EC documentation — ToR applications, EIA reports, Disaster Management Plans, Traffic Impact Assessments and Evacuation Time Estimates — across multiple live building construction and township projects.
● Be the primary point of contact with SEAC-2/SEIAA Maharashtra, managing query responses and committee scheduling.
● Review technical submissions for regulatory soundness before they go to committee, grounded in EIA Notification 2006, NBC/NBCS, SWM Rules 2016 and CPHEEO norms.
● Keep multiple project timelines on track by coordinating Project Officers, Senior Analysts and Analysts.
● Own client communication on compliance status and submission risk.
● Mentor Analysts and Junior Analysts on documentation standards and committee-ready reasoning.
● Stay ahead of regulatory change and keep the department's shared knowledge base current.
WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR
● Bachelor's or Master's degree in Environmental Science, Environmental Engineering, Urban/Regional Planning, or related field.
● 4 - 7 years in EIA/EC consulting, ideally with building construction and/or township project experience.
● Hands-on experience with ToR applications, EIA reports, and allied studies such as TIA, DMP, ETE or ECBC compliance.
● Comfort navigating SEAC/SEIAA processes in Maharashtra.
● Sharp technical writing and the confidence to represent a submission in front of a committee.
WHY ECO FOOT FORWARD
You'll join a department that's actively building out its EC/EIA service line, with real ownership over process, documentation standards, and how the team grows. If you want a role where your regulatory judgment shapes outcomes - not just your drafting speed, this is that role.
