A Hotel Room Sales Manager drives revenue generation by securing corporate accounts, group bookings, and leisure travel contracts. They maximize occupancy and yield, build client relationships, and manage the sales pipeline for room nights, meetings, and events.
Key Responsibilities
- Sales & Revenue Generation: Exceed monthly and quarterly room revenue targets by negotiating rates and closing contracts with key clients.
- Client Relationship Management: Build and maintain strong networks with corporate travel planners, event organizers, and travel agencies.
- Lead Generation & Prospecting: Proactively seek out new business via cold calling, market research, and industry networking events.
- Market Analysis: Monitor competitor pricing, identify market trends, and implement strategies to adjust room rates for peak/off-peak seasons.
- Cross-Department Collaboration: Work closely with the Front Office and Revenue Management teams to align sold business with yield management strategies.
Qualifications & Requirements
- Education: A bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Marketing, or Hospitality Management is usually preferred.
- Experience: Typically 1 to 3 years of experience in hotel sales, business development, or hospitality.
- Key Soft Skills: Exceptional communication, persuasive negotiation, and strong interpersonal skills are essential.
- Technical Proficiency: Experience with Property Management Systems (PMS) (e.g., Opera, Fidelio) and Customer Relationship Management (CRM) tools.
Pay: ₹40,000.00 - ₹45,000.00 per month
