Role Purpose
The Procurement / Purchase Manager will lead all sourcing, purchasing, vendor management, and material planning activities to ensure timely, cost-effective, and quality procurement for interior fit-out and corporate projects. The role is critical in driving cost optimization, supply reliability, and seamless coordination between design, project, and site teams.
Key Responsibilities
Strategic Procurement & Cost Control
- Develop procurement strategies aligned with project budgets, timelines, and quality standards
- Negotiate commercial terms with vendors, subcontractors, and suppliers to achieve cost efficiencies
- Drive value engineering initiatives and alternate material sourcing
Vendor Management
- Identify, onboard, evaluate, and develop a strong vendor network across civil, MEP, furniture, finishes, and services
- Maintain vendor performance scorecards (quality, delivery, cost, responsiveness)
- Manage contracts, rate cards, and long-term supplier partnerships
Purchase & Material Planning
- Prepare and execute purchase plans based on project BOQs and schedules
- Ensure timely issuance of purchase orders and tracking of deliveries
- Coordinate with site teams to avoid material shortages or excess inventory
Cross-functional Coordination
- Work closely with Design, QS, Project Management, and Site teams for specifications, quantities, and timelines
- Support billing and finance teams with procurement documentation and reconciliations
Compliance & Process
- Ensure adherence to company procurement SOPs and approval matrices
- Maintain accurate procurement records, MIS reports, and cost tracking dashboards
Key KPIs
- Cost savings achieved vs. project budgets
- On-time material delivery rate
- Vendor performance scores
- Procurement cycle time
- Variance between BOQ and actual procurement cost
Qualifications & Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Architecture, Construction Management, or Supply Chain (preferred)
- 6–12 years of procurement experience in interior fit-out, construction, or real estate projects
- Strong knowledge of materials, vendors, market pricing, and contract negotiations
- Proficient in Excel, ERP/Procurement tools
