About the Role
Unicrop Biochem Pvt. Ltd. is seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Microbiologist to join our Production Department. The ideal candidate will be responsible for the production, cultivation, quality monitoring, and process optimization of Mycorrhiza-based biofertilizer products while ensuring compliance with company quality standards and regulatory guidelines.
Key Responsibilities
- Carry out the production and multiplication of Mycorrhiza (Arbuscular Mycorrhizal Fungi - AMF) as per standard operating procedures (SOPs).
- Monitor microbial growth, contamination control, and culture maintenance throughout the production cycle.
- Prepare and maintain microbial cultures, inoculum, and production media.
- Ensure proper sterilization, aseptic techniques, and laboratory hygiene.
- Perform routine microbiological testing and quality checks on raw materials, in-process samples, and finished products.
- Maintain production records, batch manufacturing records (BMR), laboratory logs, and documentation.
- Monitor environmental conditions required for Mycorrhiza production.
- Assist in process improvement initiatives to enhance production efficiency and product quality.
- Coordinate with the Quality Control (QC), Research & Development (R&D), and Production teams.
- Ensure compliance with FCO guidelines, GMP practices, and company quality standards.
- Support troubleshooting activities related to microbial contamination and production issues.
- Follow all laboratory safety procedures and company policies.
Required Qualifications
- B.Sc. / M.Sc. in Microbiology, Biotechnology, Life Sciences, or a related field.
- Freshers with strong microbiology fundamentals are encouraged to apply.
- Candidates with experience in biofertilizer, microbial fermentation, or Mycorrhiza production will be preferred.
- Required Skills
- Strong understanding of microbiological techniques and aseptic practices.
- Knowledge of fungal culture handling and microbial cultivation.
- Familiarity with Mycorrhiza production processes is an added advantage.
- Good laboratory documentation and record-keeping skills.
- Knowledge of laboratory equipment and sterilization techniques.
- Basic understanding of quality management systems.
- Good analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Ability to work independently as well as in a team environment.
- Strong communication and time management skills.
Preferred Experience
- Experience: 1 or 2 years
- Experience in biofertilizer, agricultural biotechnology, microbial production, or fermentation industries will be an added advantage.

Pay: ₹18,000.00 - ₹26,000.00 per month
