Job Description – IT Executive

Job Summary
We are seeking a proactive and technically skilled IT Executive to provide end-user support, maintain IT infrastructure, and ensure the smooth functioning of hardware, software, networks, and IT systems across the organization. The role involves supporting both office and plant operations, troubleshooting technical issues, and maintaining IT assets.
Key ResponsibilitiesHardware & Software Support
- Install, configure, and maintain desktops, laptops, printers, scanners, and other IT peripherals.
- Install and update Windows operating systems and business applications.
- Troubleshoot hardware and software issues and provide timely resolutions.
- Perform preventive maintenance of IT equipment.
Network Administration
- Monitor and troubleshoot LAN, WAN, Wi-Fi, and internet connectivity.
- Configure and maintain routers, switches, and network devices.
- Resolve network-related issues to ensure uninterrupted operations.
User Support
- Provide first-level technical support to employees.
- Configure Microsoft Outlook and Microsoft 365 accounts.
- Assist users with password resets, software installations, and system access.
- Train employees on the effective use of IT systems and applications.
IT Asset Management
- Maintain records of laptops, desktops, printers, and other IT assets.
- Coordinate repairs, warranty claims, and equipment replacements.
- Ensure proper allocation and tracking of IT assets.
Security & Backup
- Install and maintain antivirus software.
- Monitor system security and apply updates and patches.
- Perform regular data backups and assist with disaster recovery procedures.
- Ensure compliance with IT security policies.
ERP & Application Support
- Provide user support for ERP and other business applications.
- Coordinate with software vendors for issue resolution.
- Assist in testing and implementing software upgrades.
CCTV & Biometric Systems
- Monitor and maintain CCTV surveillance systems.
- Support biometric attendance devices and troubleshoot related issues.
Vendor Coordination
- Coordinate with external IT vendors for hardware, networking, software, and AMC services.
- Follow up on service requests and ensure timely issue resolution.
Documentation
- Maintain IT inventory, service logs, software licenses, and support records.
- Prepare reports on IT activities and system performance.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree or Diploma in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
- Certifications such as CCNA, MCSA, Microsoft Certified, or CompTIA A+ are an added advantage.
Experience
- 2–5 years of experience in IT support, preferably in a manufacturing, mining, or industrial environment.
Technical Skills
- Windows 10/11 installation and troubleshooting
- Microsoft 365 and Outlook configuration
- Active Directory (basic user management)
- LAN/WAN and Wi-Fi troubleshooting
- Printer and scanner configuration
- Basic networking (routers, switches, TCP/IP)
- Hardware troubleshooting
- Backup and recovery
- Antivirus and endpoint security
- ERP support (SAP, Oracle, Tally, or manufacturing ERP)
- CCTV and biometric attendance systems

Additional Requirements
