Job Description: Dental Assistant
This is for our client Dr. Parlins Dental Clinic (Sanath Nagar). We are looking for a dedicated, patient-friendly, and proactive Dental Assistant to join our team.
The ideal candidate should assist dentists during treatments, ensure proper sterilization of instruments, maintain treatment rooms, and provide excellent support in delivering high-quality patient care. You will play an important role in creating a smooth and comfortable dental experience for patients while supporting the clinic's daily operations.
Roles and Responsibilities
Chairside Assistance:
- Assist the dentist during dental procedures and treatments.
- Prepare treatment rooms before patient appointments.
- Arrange and hand over dental instruments and materials as required.
- Ensure patient comfort before, during, and after treatment.
Sterilization & Infection Control:
- Clean, sterilize, and maintain dental instruments and equipment.
- Follow standard infection control and sterilization protocols.
- Maintain cleanliness and hygiene of treatment rooms.
Patient Support:
- Welcome patients and help them feel comfortable.
- Guide patients regarding pre- and post-treatment instructions.
- Assist in preparing patients for dental procedures.
Clinic Operations:
- Monitor and replenish dental materials and consumables.
- Coordinate with the front desk and doctors for smooth patient flow.
- Maintain treatment records and assist with documentation when required.
- Support overall clinic operations as assigned.
Requirements
- Minimum 1+ year of experience as a Dental Assistant.
- Certification or training as a Dental Assistant is preferred.
- Basic knowledge of dental instruments, sterilization protocols, and chairside assistance.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced dental clinic.
- Professional attitude with strong attention to detail.
- Team player with a patient-centric approach.
