Senior Sales Executive – Freight Forwarding

Job Summary
We are looking for a dynamic and result-oriented Senior Sales Executive with experience in the freight forwarding and logistics industry. The candidate will be responsible for generating new business opportunities, maintaining customer relationships, and achieving sales targets for air freight, sea freight, customs clearance, and logistics services.
The ideal candidate should possess strong communication skills, market knowledge, and the ability to develop long-term client relationships.
Key Responsibilities
- Generate new business leads through direct sales, cold calling, networking, and client visits.
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with importers, exporters, and corporate clients.
- Promote freight forwarding services including:
- Air Freight
- Sea Freight
- Customs Clearance
- Transportation
- Warehousing & Logistics Solutions
- Prepare and submit quotations to customers.
- Negotiate freight rates and service agreements with clients.
- Achieve monthly and annual sales targets.
- Coordinate with operations and customer service teams to ensure smooth shipment handling.
- Monitor market trends, competitor activities, and customer requirements.
- Maintain accurate sales reports and customer records.
- Follow up on outstanding payments and support collection activities.
Required Skills
- Good knowledge of international freight forwarding and logistics operations.
- Strong sales and negotiation skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and achieve targets.
- Knowledge of import/export procedures and Incoterms preferred.
- Proficiency in MS Office and CRM systems.
- Customer-focused and result-driven attitude.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Logistics, Supply Chain, or related field preferred.
- Minimum 2–3 years of experience in freight forwarding sales.
- Experience in handling corporate/B2B clients is an advantage.
Preferred Candidate Profile
- Existing customer base in freight forwarding/logistics industry preferred.
- Experience in air and sea freight sales.
- Strong local market knowledge and industry contacts.
- Ability to travel for client meetings when required.
