Role & responsibilities
1. Machine Operation
a. Operate CNC machines (Turning / Milling / VMC / HMC) as per production plan.
b. Load raw materials and unload finished components.
c. Monitor machine operations to ensure smooth production.
d. Programming on Fanuc & Siemens controllers
2. Setup Support
a. Assist in machine setup, tool setting, and offsets adjustment.
b. Change tools, inserts, and fixtures as required.
3. Quality Control
a. Check components using measuring instruments such as vernier caliper, micrometer, height gauge, and gauges.
b. Ensure parts are produced according to drawings and specifications.
c. Report any deviations or defects immediately.
4. Production Targets
a. Maintain cycle time and achieve daily production targets.
b. Minimize rejection and rework.
5. Machine Maintenance
a. Perform routine machine cleaning and basic maintenance.
b. Ensure proper lubrication and coolant levels.
c. Report machine breakdowns to maintenance team.
6. Documentation
a. Maintain production records and inspection reports.
b. Fill daily production log sheets.
7. Safety & Housekeeping
a. Follow plant safety guidelines and PPE requirements.
b. Maintain 5S and cleanliness around machines.
Preferred candidate profile
Qualifications
- ITI / Diploma in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent.
- CNC machine operation certification preferred.
Experience
- 15 years of experience operating CNC machines in a manufacturing environment (preferably auto components).
Skills & Competencies
- Basic knowledge of CNC machines and machining processes.
- Ability to read engineering drawings.
- Knowledge of measuring instruments.
- Understanding of quality standards.
- Basic troubleshooting ability.
Job Types: Full-time, Contractual / Temporary
Contract length: 12 months
Pay: ₹20,000.00 - ₹25,000.00 per month
