Sloka International School, Vikarabad, is inviting applications from enthusiastic and dedicated professionals for the position of Librarian. We are looking for an individual who is passionate about promoting reading, research, and lifelong learning while effectively managing the school library.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage the day-to-day operations of the school library.
- Organize, catalogue, and maintain books, journals, and digital resources.
- Issue and receive library books while maintaining accurate records.
- Guide students and staff in locating and utilizing library resources.
- Foster a reading culture by organizing book fairs, reading programs, and literary activities.
- Coordinate with teachers to support curriculum-based learning resources.
- Maintain library discipline and ensure a welcoming learning environment.
- Conduct periodic stock verification and recommend new books and learning resources.
- Maintain library records, reports, and inventory using library management software.
Qualifications & Skills
- Bachelor's or Master's Degree in Library & Information Science (B.Lib.I.Sc./M.Lib.I.Sc.)/ or Any degree with good communication skills.
- Minimum 1–2 years of experience as a Librarian (school experience preferred).
- Knowledge of library management systems and MS Office.
- Strong communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to encourage reading habits and support students' academic growth.
- Shared accommodation will be provided for outstation candidates.
