The Spare Parts Executive is responsible for managing the inventory, procurement, and distribution of luxury automobile spare parts to ensure smooth operations of the service department. The role demands excellent organizational skills, a thorough understanding of automobile components, and the ability to maintain accurate records to optimize stock levels and meet customer and workshop requirements efficiently.
Key Responsibilities
- Inventory Management:
- Monitor and maintain optimal stock levels of spare parts.
- Conduct regular stock audits and ensure accurate record-keeping.
- Identify slow-moving or obsolete stock and take corrective actions.
- Procurement and Vendor Coordination:
- Source and procure spare parts from approved suppliers/vendors.
- Negotiate prices, delivery schedules, and payment terms with suppliers.
- Evaluate supplier performance and ensure timely replenishment.
- Order Fulfillment:
- Process spare part orders for internal workshops and external customers.
- Coordinate with the service team to meet their requirements promptly.
- Ensure timely and accurate delivery of spare parts.
- Customer Service:
- Assist customers in identifying and selecting the right spare parts.
- Provide technical guidance regarding product compatibility and usage.
- Handle customer inquiries and resolve issues related to spare parts.
- Documentation and Reporting:
- Maintain accurate records of inventory, purchases, and sales transactions.
- Prepare periodic reports on stock status, consumption patterns, and procurement.
- Ensure compliance with company policies and regulatory requirements.
- Technical Knowledge and Support:
- Stay updated on the latest automobile technologies and spare parts.
- Train and guide team members on spare parts identification and management.
- Collaborate with the service team to address technical challenges.
Qualifications and Skills
- Education: Diploma/Degree in Automobile Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field.
- Experience: 2+ years in spare parts management, preferably in the luxury automobile industry.
- Technical Skills:
- Knowledge of automobile spare parts and systems.
- Proficiency in using inventory management software and ERP systems.
- Basic understanding of supply chain and logistics principles.
