Job Summary
The Assistant Branch Head is responsible for supporting the Branch Head in achieving business targets, managing branch operations, ensuring regulatory compliance, delivering excellent customer service, and supervising branch staff. The role focuses on business development, operational efficiency, portfolio quality, and branch profitability.
Key ResponsibilitiesBusiness Development
- Achieve monthly business targets for Gold Loans, Investments, Insurance, and other financial products.
- Generate new customer acquisitions through field marketing and referrals.
- Cross-sell financial products to existing customers.
- Conduct market surveys and identify new business opportunities.
Branch Operations
- Assist in the day-to-day management of branch operations.
- Ensure smooth processing of loan applications, disbursements, renewals, and closures.
- Monitor cash handling and safe custody procedures.
- Maintain branch records and operational reports accurately.
Customer Service
- Provide prompt and professional customer service.
- Resolve customer complaints and ensure high customer satisfaction.
- Maintain long-term relationships with customers.
Team Management
- Supervise and guide branch employees.
- Allocate daily work responsibilities and monitor performance.
- Conduct product and process training for branch staff.
- Motivate the team to achieve business objectives.
Compliance & Risk Management
- Ensure adherence to RBI guidelines and company policies.
- Verify KYC, documentation, and loan processing procedures.
- Ensure compliance with internal and external audit requirements.
- Maintain proper records to minimize operational and credit risks.
Recovery & Portfolio Management
- Monitor overdue accounts and support collection activities.
- Coordinate with customers for timely repayments.
- Maintain healthy portfolio quality and minimize NPAs.
Reporting
- Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly MIS reports.
- Submit business performance reports to the Branch Head and Regional Office.
- Monitor branch productivity and profitability.
Educational Qualification
- Bachelor's Degree in any discipline.
- MBA/PGDM is an added advantage.
Experience
- 2–5 years of experience in an NBFC, Banking, or Gold Loan industry.
- Experience in branch operations and business development is preferred.
