Job Description (Roles & Responsibilities)
1. Tool Assembly Work
- Assemble dies, molds, jigs, fixtures, and tooling components
- Follow engineering drawings / blueprints
- Fit and align components with precision
2. Mechanical Fitting
- Perform drilling, tapping, grinding, and finishing
- Use hand tools like spanners, Allen keys, torque wrenches
- Ensure proper tightening and alignment
3. Inspection & Quality Check
- Measure components using:
- Vernier caliper
- Micrometer
- Height gauge
- Ensure tools meet required tolerances
4. Maintenance & Repair
- Repair damaged molds/tools
- Replace worn-out parts
- Maintain tool life and performance
5. Machine Support
- Assist CNC/VMC operators during tool setup
- Support production team in tool-related issues
Required Skills
- Basic knowledge of tool room operations
- Ability to read 2D drawings
- Good hand-eye coordination
- Knowledge of fitting and assembly techniques
Qualification
- ITI (Fitter / Tool & Die / Machinist)
- or
- Diploma in Mechanical Engineering Work Schedule
Salary Range (Typical)
15,000 to 18,000/-
