Job Overview:
We are seeking a highly skilled Electrical Engineer to join our team. The ideal candidate will have expertise in preparing Single Line Diagrams (SLDs), various electrical drawings, and performing electrical calculations. You will play a crucial role in designing and analyzing electrical systems to ensure they meet safety standards, efficiency, and functionality.
Key Responsibilities:
- Preparation of Electrical Drawings:
- Develop and review Single Line Diagrams (SLDs) and detailed electrical drawings for various projects.
- Create schematic diagrams, wiring diagrams, and layout plans for electrical systems.
- Electrical Calculations:
- Perform electrical calculations including load analysis, voltage drop, short-circuit analysis, and power factor correction.
- Ensure that all electrical designs comply with industry standards and regulatory requirements.
- Design and Analysis:
- Design and specify electrical systems and components to meet project requirements and specifications.
- Analyze and evaluate electrical systems for efficiency, reliability, and safety.
- Collaboration and Coordination:
- Work closely with project managers, architects, and other engineering teams to integrate electrical systems into overall project designs.
- Provide technical support and guidance to other team members and stakeholders.
- Documentation and Reporting:
- Prepare technical documentation and reports related to electrical designs, calculations, and system performance.
- Maintain accurate records of electrical designs and modifications.
- Compliance and Standards:
- Ensure all electrical designs and installations adhere to relevant codes, standards, and best practices.
- Stay updated with the latest industry trends, technologies, and regulatory changes.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field.
- Proven experience in preparing Single Line Diagrams (SLDs), electrical drawings, and performing electrical calculations.
- Proficiency in electrical design software (e.g., AutoCAD Electrical, ETAP, Dialux).
- Strong understanding of electrical codes, standards, and safety regulations.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Effective communication and teamwork abilities.
- Professional Engineering (PE) license is a plus.
