Job Summary
The ICU Resident Medical Officer (RMO) is responsible for providing continuous medical care to critically ill patients admitted to the Intensive Care Unit. The RMO will assist ICU consultants in patient management, perform emergency procedures, monitor patients, and ensure timely documentation while maintaining high standards of patient care.
Key Responsibilities
- Assess, examine, and monitor critically ill patients in the ICU.
- Provide immediate medical management during emergencies and initiate resuscitation as per protocols.
- Assist ICU consultants in diagnosis, treatment planning, and bedside procedures.
- Interpret laboratory investigations, ECGs, ABGs, X-rays, and other diagnostic reports.
- Perform procedures such as arterial blood sampling, central/IV line assistance, intubation assistance, catheterization, and other emergency interventions as per competency.
- Maintain accurate and timely patient documentation, including admission notes, progress notes, and discharge summaries.
- Ensure timely medication orders and follow-up on investigations.
- Coordinate with consultants, nursing staff, and other departments for comprehensive patient care.
- Attend all ICU emergencies, Code Blue, and in-hospital medical emergencies.
- Communicate patient status and treatment plans to consultants and relatives as instructed.
- Follow infection control, NABH, biomedical waste management, and patient safety protocols.
- Participate in clinical audits, CME programs, and departmental meetings.
- Ensure proper handover during shift changes.
Qualification
- MBBS from a recognized medical college.
- Valid State Medical Council Registration.
- ACLS/BLS certification will be an added advantage.
Experience
- 0–3 years of experience in ICU, Emergency, or Critical Care.
- Fresh MBBS graduates with ICU exposure may also apply.

- Strong documentation and record-keeping skills.
- Ability to work in rotational shifts, including nights, weekends, and holidays.

Pay: From ₹45,000.00 per month
