- An Export Assistant manages international shipping operations, ensures compliance with global trade regulations, and prepares critical pre- and post-shipment documentation. They act as the primary liaison between logistics providers, customs authorities, and internal sales teams to guarantee the timely, error-free delivery of goods.
- Key Responsibilities
- Document Preparation: Accurately draft and review essential export documents, including commercial invoices, packing lists, certificates of origin, bills of lading, and shipping instructions.
- Logistics Coordination: Collaborate with freight forwarders, shipping agents, and transport carriers to arrange bookings, track shipments, and resolve route or delivery delays.
- Compliance & Customs: Ensure all shipments comply with international trade laws, customs regulations, and export control requirements.
- Sales & Client Support: Assist the marketing and sales departments with customer quotations, resolve client inquiries regarding shipment status, and maintain strong relationships with overseas buyers.
- Reporting & Record Keeping: Maintain accurate logs of dispatch dates, monitor delivery schedules, and manage all export records in internal digital systems.
- Essential Qualifications
- Education: Bachelor's degree in International Business, Commerce, Logistics, or a related field.
- Experience: 0 to 3 years of hands-on experience in freight forwarding, supply chain, or international trade compliance.
- Key Skills: Strong proficiency in Export Documentation (Pre and Post Shipment), high attention to detail, and excellent cross-border communication abilities.
- Technical Proficiency: Experience working with ERP/SAP systems and MS Office Suite.
