To prepare and control cutting requirements and ensure accurate, efficient and timely cutting of materials as per approved drawings and production requirements.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare and verify cutting lists based on approved drawings, designs and production requirements.
- Ensure accurate dimensions, quantities and material specifications before cutting.
- Coordinate with Production Manager, Drafting/Design, Stores and Shop Floor teams.
- Plan cutting sequence to minimize material wastage and improve material utilization.
- Issue cutting instructions to machine operators and workers.
- Check cut components for dimensions, quantity and quality.
- Ensure proper identification, tagging and segregation of cut materials.
- Monitor material wastage and report discrepancies or excess consumption.
- Maintain cutting records and daily production updates.
- Ensure safe operation and proper handling of cutting machines and tools.
- Guide and supervise cutting workers and machine operators.
- Report production issues, material shortages and drawing discrepancies to the Production Manager.
Key Skills & Competencies
- Good knowledge of furniture/interior manufacturing and cutting processes.
- Ability to read drawings and understand dimensions.
- Knowledge of plywood, MDF, laminates, wood and related materials.
- Accuracy, attention to detail and material optimization skills.
- Ability to supervise workers and coordinate with other departments.
Qualification & Experience
Qualification: ITI / Diploma / relevant technical qualification.
Experience: 3–6 years in furniture/interior factory production or similar industry.
Pay: ₹40,000.00 - ₹45,000.00 per month
