Job Summary
We are looking for a detail-oriented and experienced GeM Portal Executive to manage end-to-end operations on the Government e-Marketplace (GeM) portal. The candidate will be responsible for bid management, product/service listings, tender participation, documentation, and coordination with internal teams to ensure smooth execution of GeM-related activities.
Key Responsibilities
- Handle complete operations of the Government e-Marketplace (GeM) Portal
- Manage:
- Bid participation
- Tender submissions
- Reverse auctions
- Product/service catalog management
- Upload and maintain accurate product and service listings on GeM
- Monitor new bids, tenders, and business opportunities on the portal
- Prepare and submit:
- Technical documents
- Commercial proposals
- Compliance documents
- Coordinate with internal teams for pricing, documentation, and approvals
- Track order processing, invoice submissions, and payment follow-ups
- Ensure timely response to GeM queries and communications
- Maintain records of bids, contracts, and portal activities
- Stay updated with GeM policies, procedures, and government procurement guidelines
Required Skills
- Hands-on experience in handling the GeM Portal
- Knowledge of:
- Government tendering process
- Bid management
- Reverse auction process
- Experience in documentation and proposal preparation
- Good understanding of procurement and vendor management processes
- Strong communication and coordination skills
- Proficiency in:
- MS Excel
- MS Word
- Email communication
- Ability to work under deadlines and manage multiple tenders simultaneously
Preferred Skills
- Experience in IT services or software company will be an advantage
- Knowledge of GEM compliance and contract handling
- Familiarity with government procurement norms and bidding procedures
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in any discipline
- MBA / PGDM will be an added advantage
