About the Role
Account Management - Brand Specialist Intern
As a Brand Specialist Intern, you will be part of the Amazon Vendor Services (AVS) Team within Retail Business Services, gaining a unique opportunity to learn how Amazon shapes and delivers strategies for managing AVS vendors. This internship is designed to give you real, hands-on exposure to one of the most dynamic retail environments in the world.
We are looking for a bright, customer-centric, driven, and creative intern to join our team. Throughout your stint, you will work alongside experienced Account Managers, shadowing them as they interface with leaders from our Retail and Vendor Services teams. This exposure will help you build a solid understanding of how vendor relationships are managed end-to-end at Amazon.
You will get hands-on experience across major functional areas such as site merchandising, buying, inventory management, finance, operations, and online marketing. Using a wide range of tools and data analytics, you will support the team in driving the performance of strategic vendor partners. You will also get involved in the operational side of customer relationships with vendors, helping to identify issues, analyze data, and contribute to impactful solutions.
Timings will be as per EU shift, 12:00 pm IST to 9:00 pm IST.
What You'll Be Doing
During your internship, you will be directly involved in meaningful work that accelerates your understanding of business fundamentals. Here is a snapshot of what your day-to-day will look like:
- Shadow experienced Account Managers as they manage and develop long-term partnerships with key vendor partners, giving you a front-row seat to how strategic relationships are built and maintained.
- Support joint business planning by contributing to the development and execution of plans that target key business opportunities and relevant KPIs for both vendors and Amazon.
- Dive into data analytics by conducting deep-dive analyses on vendor performance and business issues, helping to build recommendations and action plans grounded in data.
- Get hands-on with business reviews by participating in and supporting Weekly and Monthly Business Reviews (WBRs/MBRs) with vendors, observing how performance metrics are tracked and how action plans are built around them.
- Collaborate cross-functionally by partnering with the Retail Category Team and other internal teams, learning how to build effective communication channels and contribute to a shared growth plan for vendors.
- Explore marketing in action by supporting the analysis of marketing activities and campaigns aimed at growing vendor traffic, brand awareness, customer conversion, and revenue on Amazon.
