Role: QA Automation & Manual Tester

Summary
The QA Automation & Manual Tester is responsible for ensuring the quality, reliability, and basic security of software applications through manual testing, test automation, and performance validation. This role involves executing test cases, identifying defects, supporting automation and CI/CD activities, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to deliver stable, secure, and high-quality applications that meet business and user expectations.
Responsibilities:
Manual & Functional Testing
- Understand product requirements and prepare detailed test cases and test scenarios.
- Execute functional, regression, integration, and system testing.
- Identify, log, track, and retest defects using issue management tools (e.g., Jira, Bugzilla).
- Perform UI/UX validation and cross-browser testing for web and mobile applications.
- Support User Acceptance Testing (UAT) and test data preparation.
Test Automation
- Develop and execute automated test scripts for UI and API testing.
- Maintain and enhance existing automation test suites.
- Support integration of automated tests with CI/CD pipelines (Jenkins, GitLab CI, Azure DevOps, etc.).
- Assist in improving automation frameworks under guidance.
- Tools: Selenium, Cypress, Playwright, JUnit/TestNG, Postman, Rest Assured.
Performance Testing
- Assist in planning and executing performance, load, and stress tests.
- Analyze performance test results and identify bottlenecks.
- Support preparation of performance reports against benchmarks and SLAs.
- Tools: JMeter, Gatling, LoadRunner, Locust.
Security Testing
- Perform basic application security testing and vulnerability validation.
- Identify common vulnerabilities aligned with OWASP Top 10 (XSS, SQL Injection, CSRF, etc.).
- Assist in API security and authentication/authorization testing.
- Work with development teams to validate fixes for identified security issues.
- Tools: OWASP ZAP, Burp Suite (basic exposure).
Process & Collaboration
- Follow established QA processes, standards, and best practices.
- Collaborate with developers, DevOps, and product teams in Agile/Scrum environments.
- Participate in sprint planning, daily stand-ups, reviews, and retrospectives.
- Prepare test execution reports, defect metrics, and quality status updates.
Education
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
- ISTQB or other relevant QA certifications (Preferred).
Experience & Skills
- 3+ years of experience in software testing with hands-on manual and automation testing.
- Strong understanding of SDLC, STLC, and Agile/Scrum methodologies.
- Hands-on experience with automation tools such as Selenium, Cypress, or Playwright.
- Exposure to performance testing tools such as JMeter or equivalent.
- Basic knowledge of application security testing and VAPT concepts.
- Experience with API testing using Postman or Rest Assured.
- Exposure to CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices.
- Familiarity with cloud environments (AWS, Azure, or GCP) is a plus.
- Exposure to mobile testing tools (Appium) is a plus.
- Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and communication skills.
- Ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.

Pay: ₹400,000.00 - ₹700,000.00 per year
