NEXIS is a new-age undergraduate business school where students learn through real projects, industry mentorship, and hands-on experiences.
About the Role
We are looking for a dynamic and highly organised Event Head to take complete ownership of the event ecosystem at NEXIS.
The role involves planning and executing large-scale college events, student experiences, competitions, workshops, cultural activities, networking events, and student-led initiatives. You will work closely with students, faculty, external partners, vendors, and the marketing team to create engaging and memorable experiences on campus.
The ideal candidate is someone who can take an idea from concept to execution, manage multiple stakeholders and moving parts, and ensure that every event is delivered seamlessly.
Key Responsibilities include:
Event Planning & Execution
- Take end-to-end ownership of planning, organising, and executing events at NEXIS.
- Manage the complete event lifecycle — from ideation and budgeting to execution and post-event evaluation.
- Plan and execute competitions, workshops, cultural events, networking events, sports activities, fests, and student-led initiatives.
- Develop and manage an annual and monthly events calendar in collaboration with students and faculty.
- Ensure events are delivered on time, within budget, and to a high standard of quality.
- Identify new event formats and ideas that can make the NEXIS campus experience more engaging and memorable.
Stakeholder & Vendor Management
- Coordinate with students, faculty, vendors, event partners, speakers, performers, and other external stakeholders.
- Manage event logistics including venues, equipment, hospitality, permissions, vendors, and on-ground execution.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with reliable vendors and external event partners.
- Ensure smooth coordination between all stakeholders before, during, and after an event.
Event Communication & Promotion
- Work closely with the Marketing and Communication teams to promote events and maximise student participation.
- Develop effective communication plans for event announcements, registrations, schedules, guidelines, and updates.
- Ensure students have clear and timely information about upcoming events and activities.
Who Should Apply?
We are looking for someone who:
- Has demonstrated experience in planning and executing events independently.
- Is highly organised and capable of managing multiple events, timelines, people, and priorities simultaneously.
- Has excellent communication, coordination, negotiation, and people-management skills.
- Is creative, energetic, proactive, and solution-oriented.
- Enjoys working with young people and creating engaging experiences for students.
- Is comfortable working in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial environment where ideas move quickly from concept to execution.
- Takes ownership and accountability rather than simply coordinating tasks.
