Role Overview
The Wireless Program Head is a senior leadership role responsible for end-to-end planning, execution, and delivery of large-scale wireless network programs across technologies including RAN, Microwave (MW), Transmission, LTE, and 5G. The role requires strong technical depth, program governance, stakeholder management, and commercial acumen to deliver high-quality wireless networks aligned with business objectives.
Key Responsibilities
1. Program & Portfolio Management
- Own end-to-end wireless programs from planning to rollout and acceptance
- Define program strategy, roadmap, and milestones aligned with business goals
- Manage multiple parallel programs across regions and technologies
- Ensure adherence to schedule, budget, SLA, and quality benchmarks
2. Wireless Technology Leadership
- Provide technical leadership across RAN (2G/3G/4G/5G), Microwave, Transmission, and IP Backhaul
- Review and approve HLD/LLD, network architectures, and rollout strategies
- Guide teams on coverage planning, capacity planning, and RF optimization
- Drive adoption of 5G, Massive MIMO, fiberization, and MW modernization
3. Delivery & Execution Excellence
- Drive site rollout programs including greenfield and swap projects
- Ensure timely installation, commissioning, integration, and acceptance
- Manage cross-functional dependencies across civil, power, fiber, MW, and RAN teams
4. Vendor & Stakeholder Management
- Manage OEMs an d system integrators and conduct performance reviews
5. Financial & Commercial Ownership
- Own program budgets, forecasts, and financial performance
6. Team Leadership & Capability Building
- Lead and mentor large multi-disciplinary teams
- 15+ years of experience in wireless network delivery and rollout
- Strong expertise in RAN, Microwave, Transmission, and IP networks
- Proven experience managing large-scale telecom programs
