Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced and result-oriented Operations Manager to oversee the daily operations of our EV two-wheeler and auto rental business. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing fleet operations, ensuring vehicle availability, optimizing operational efficiency, leading field teams, and delivering exceptional customer service while maintaining cost control and compliance.
The candidate should possess strong leadership, analytical, and problem-solving skills with prior experience in fleet management, vehicle rental operations, or the mobility sector.
Key Responsibilities
Fleet Operations
- Manage end-to-end operations of EV two-wheelers and auto rental fleets.
- Ensure maximum vehicle uptime through preventive maintenance and timely repairs.
- Monitor fleet utilization, availability, and operational performance.
- Coordinate vehicle deployment, replacements, and retrievals.
Team Management
- Lead and supervise operations executives, field staff, drivers, technicians, and support teams.
- Allocate daily tasks and monitor workforce productivity.
- Conduct regular performance reviews and provide operational guidance.
- Train employees on SOPs, safety standards, and service quality.
Maintenance & Service Management
- Coordinate with service centers and technicians for preventive and corrective maintenance.
- Ensure timely battery health checks and charging infrastructure management.
- Monitor spare parts inventory and vendor performance.
- Minimize vehicle downtime through effective maintenance planning.
Customer Operations
- Ensure timely vehicle delivery and collection.
- Resolve customer complaints and operational escalations promptly.
- Monitor customer satisfaction and service quality.
- Coordinate with the sales and customer support teams to ensure smooth operations.
Vendor & Partner Management
- Manage relationships with service vendors, charging partners, insurance companies, and transport agencies.
- Negotiate service contracts and monitor vendor performance.
- Ensure adherence to agreed service-level agreements (SLAs).
Process & Compliance
- Develop, implement, and improve operational SOPs.
- Ensure compliance with company policies, safety standards, and statutory regulations.
- Conduct regular operational audits.
- Maintain accurate operational documentation and records.
Reporting & MIS
- Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly operational reports.
- Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) such as:
- Fleet Utilization
- Vehicle Uptime
- Maintenance Cost
- Revenue per Vehicle
- Customer Complaints
- Booking Fulfilment Rate
- Breakdown Frequency
- Driver Productivity
- Present operational performance reports to management.
Cost Management
- Monitor operational expenses and identify cost-saving opportunities.
- Optimize manpower, fuel, electricity, and maintenance costs.
- Ensure efficient resource allocation without compromising service quality.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration, Operations Management, Mechanical Engineering, Automobile Engineering, or a related field.
- MBA in Operations or Supply Chain Management is preferred.
