TITLE: Business Development Lead - Advanced Materials & Printed Electronics (India)

THE ROLE:
This is a field-facing business development role requiring technical credibility, and the ability to navigate both research institutions and industrial buyers.
WHAT YOU WILL DO:
- Reach out cold and warm email, LinkedIn, phone, in-person to initiate conversations, send samples, and follow through to purchase orders
- Attend 2–4 industry events per year (Labelexpo India, Plastindia, electronica India, RFID India, defence/iDEX events) to generate leads and represent the company
- Manage inbound leads - respond professionally, send technical documents, coordinate sample dispatch, follow up to close
- Build and maintain a CRM of 100+ active prospects with regular status updates shared with the US team weekly
- Work closely with the founder (US-based) over daily/weekly video calls to align on strategy, pricing, proposals, and deal terms
- Draft quotations, coordinate sample shipments, and support invoicing and basic account management for early customers
- Scout competitive intelligence who else is selling CuNP or conductive inks in India, at what price, to whom
- Identify partnership opportunities with IITs, CSIR labs, and ECMS-approved electronics manufacturers for co-development or supply agreements
Who we want (Flexible):
Recommended:
- 2–5 years of B2B sales or business development experience ideally in speciality chemicals, advanced materials, electronics components, or industrial products
- Comfortable having a technical conversation, you do not need to be a chemist, but you need to understand what a nanoparticle is, why purity matters, what a Technical Data Sheet is, and what questions a PhD buyer will ask
- Strong written and spoken English you will represent the company in emails and calls with senior R&D and procurement contacts
Strong advantage:
- Background in or exposure to: nanomaterials, conductive inks, printed electronics, RFID, PCB manufacturing, advanced coatings, or specialty chemicals
- Existing relationships with procurement or R&D contacts at Indian electronics manufacturers, nanotech companies, or RFID/label converters
- Experience calling on or working with IIT labs, CSIR institutions, or DRDO ecosystem companies
- Familiarity with Indian government schemes like ECMS, iDEX, or PLI for electronics
