About the Company:
We are a leading MEP (Mechanical, Electrical, and Plumbing) Consulting firm specializing in the design and engineering of sustainable, high-performance HVAC systems across residential, commercial, and institutional projects. We are looking for a skilled and detail-oriented HVAC Draftsman to join our design team.
Role Summary:
The HVAC Draftsman will be responsible for preparing, modifying, and managing detailed technical drawings, schematics, and layouts for heating, ventilation, and air conditioning systems. You will work closely with MEP Design Engineers to translate engineering concepts into accurate construction documents and ensure clash-free coordination with architectural and structural elements.
Key Responsibilities:
- Drawing & Detailing: Prepare accurate drawings, shop drawings, and coordination drawings for HVAC systems.
- System Layouts: Draft layouts for ductwork, Chilled water/Refrigerant piping, VRV/VRF systems, AHUs, FCUs, and ventilation routes.
- MEP Coordination: Review architectural and structural drawings to perform clash detection and ensure seamless integration of HVAC services.
- Documentation & Supporting BOQ: Assist design engineers in generating measurement sheets and Bill of Quantities (BOQ) support data.
- Compliance: Ensure all drawings and schematics comply with project specifications, local building codes, and industry standards
- Revision & As-Built: Update drawings based on engineer feedback, design changes, and final on-site conditions.
Technical Requirements:
- Education: ITI (Draughtsman - Mechanical).
- Software Proficiency:
- Advanced command of AutoCAD is mandatory.
- Hands-on experience or willingness to work on Revit MEP for 3D modeling is highly desired.
- Basic knowledge of MS Office (Excel) for data calculation and documentation.
- Industry Knowledge: Solid understanding of thermodynamic principles, air distribution, and duct sizing.
