Job Summary:
Royal Pet World is seeking a compassionate and dedicated Veterinary Assistant to support our veterinary team in providing high-quality care to pets. The ideal candidate should love animals, be detail-oriented, and assist in daily clinical and non-clinical tasks.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist veterinarians during examinations, treatments, and minor procedures
- Handle and restrain animals safely and calmly
- Clean and sterilize equipment, examination rooms, and surgical areas
- Administer medications and vaccinations as directed by the veterinarian
- Support in grooming, boarding, and pet care activities when needed
- Maintain accurate records of patient history and treatments
- Assist in managing inventory of medicines and supplies
- Communicate with pet owners regarding basic care and follow-up instructions
Requirements:
- Minimum qualification: Intermediate / Diploma in Veterinary Assistance or related field
- Prior experience in a veterinary clinic or pet care facility is preferred
- Basic knowledge of animal handling and healthcare
- Good communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
- Passion for animal welfare
Preferred Skills:
- Experience with pet grooming or boarding services
- Knowledge of veterinary pharmacy products
- Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends
