Key Responsibilities
- Pre-Procedure Preparation
- Check patient identity, consent, investigation reports, and pre-procedure checklist.
- Prepare the Cath Lab, sterile trolley, instruments, catheters, guidewires, balloons, stents, and other consumables.
- Ensure availability and functioning of emergency drugs, defibrillator, oxygen, suction, and monitoring equipment.
- Follow infection control and biomedical waste management protocols.
- During Procedure
- Scrub and assist the Cardiologist during procedures such as angiogram, angioplasty, pacemaker insertion, and other cardiac interventions.
- Maintain strict aseptic technique and sterile field.
- Handle and pass instruments, catheters, guidewires, balloons, stents, and devices safely.
- Monitor patient condition along with the circulating nurse and report any changes immediately.
- Assist in emergency situations like arrhythmia, cardiac arrest, hypotension, or bleeding.
- Post-Procedure Care
- Assist in sheath removal as per protocol, if applicable.
- Ensure proper dressing and hemostasis at puncture site.
- Hand over patient details to recovery/ICU/ward nurse.
- Document procedure details, consumables used, implants/stents used, and any complications.
- Ensure proper cleaning, disinfection, and preparation of the lab for the next procedure.
- Inventory and Equipment Management
- Maintain stock of Cath Lab consumables, sterile items, drugs, and emergency supplies.
- Check expiry dates and storage conditions of high-value items like stents, balloons, catheters, and guidewires.
- Report equipment malfunction immediately.
- Support calibration, preventive maintenance, and quality checks of Cath Lab equipment.
- Quality and Safety Responsibilities
- Follow hospital policies, NABH standards, infection control practices, and radiation safety protocols.
- Wear radiation protection devices such as lead apron, thyroid shield, and dosimeter.
- Participate in audits, mock drills, training programs, and quality improvement activities.
- Report incidents, near misses, medication errors, and adverse events.
Required Skills
- Knowledge of Cath Lab procedures and sterile techniques.
- Ability to assist in cardiac emergency situations.
- Good communication and teamwork skills.
- Knowledge of cardiac drugs, emergency drugs, and Cath Lab consumables.
- Ability to handle pressure and work in emergency situations.
- Basic computer and documentation skills.

Pay: ₹18,000.00 - ₹25,000.00 per month
