DESIGNER – JOB DESCRIPTION & RESPONSIBILITIES
1. CUSTOMER & PROJECT HANDOVER
- Receive estimate, scope and customer requirements from Sales.
- Attend office/site meetings and understand customer requirements.
- Carry estimate and project details during site visits.
- Confirm requirements before starting design.
2. SITE MEASUREMENT & REQUIREMENTS
- Visit site and take accurate measurements; prepare/verify floor plan.
- Check walls, columns, beams, doors, windows and other constraints.
- Collect room-wise requirements and recheck measurements before production.
- Visit site for final design/measurement cross-check before factory handover.
3. KITCHEN & APPLIANCE REQUIREMENTS
- Hob: 2/3/4/5 burner; Gas/Induction. Chimney: 60/90 cm; Ducted/Ductless.
- Microwave: Built-in/Countertop. RO: Under-sink/Wall-mounted.
- Washing machine: Front/Top load. Utility, mixer-grinder and refrigerator requirements.
- Collect appliance dimensions wherever required.
4. DESIGN SELECTIONS
- Finalize design style, colours, laminates, finishes and handles; share handle options.
- Update selections in Google Sheet; add colour codes and edge-band details.
- Maintain complete selection records.
5. DESIGN TIMELINE
- DAY 1: Module preparation; initial 2D/3D; online/offline meeting; collect inputs; kitchen/bedroom 2D.
- DAY 2: Complete renders; remaining bedroom/living/small-unit 2D; send draft; collect feedback and correct.
- DAY 3: Prepare PDF/PPT; present to customer; take confirmation; prepare 2D; share internal design template.
6. 2D & 3D DESIGN
- Prepare accurate 2D and realistic 3D; ensure drawings and site measurements match.
- Check dimensions, clearances, doors, drawers, appliances, storage, materials, finishes and related electrical requirements.
- Incorporate approved customer selections.
7. FINAL DESIGN & PRODUCTION HANDOVER
- Check final drawings, dimensions, selections, colours, edge-band, handles and hardware.
- Conduct final site/design check and ensure no unresolved design issue remains.
8. DRAWING PRINTING
- Prepare 3 approved sets: Designer reference, Site reference and Project Manager reference.
- Print customer approval copy; use only latest approved drawings and clearly mention project/version.
9. FACTORY HANDOVER
- Share approved 2D, 3D, production drawings and cut-list.
- Share material, finish and hardware details; explain project-specific requirements.
- Respond to factory clarification and ensure factory uses latest approved drawings.
10. HARDWARE BOQ
- Prepare hardware BOQ; verify quantities/specifications and special hardware.
- Coordinate with Accounts/Procurement and update BOQ for approved design changes.
11. SITE DESIGN CHECKING
- Cross-check measurements and installation against approved drawings.
- Check dimensions, alignment, positioning and finishes; identify deviations and inform Project Manager.
- Provide site design clarification and prevent unauthorized design changes.
12. INSTALLATION SUPPORT
- Support Project Manager on design issues and verify execution against approved drawings.
- Confirm corrections/modifications; recheck measurements before major changes.
- Update and communicate revised drawings when approved.
13. DESIGN DOCUMENT CONTROL
- Maintain latest 2D, 3D, approved drawings, customer selections, colour/edge-band and hardware details.
- Maintain revision history and ensure factory/site receive only the latest approved version.
14. CUSTOMER COMMUNICATION
- Present designs clearly; explain functionality, materials and finishes.
- Collect/record feedback and take approval before next stage.
- Communicate realistic timelines; do not promise unapproved changes; inform Sales/Management about major changes.
15. DAILY DESIGNER RESPONSIBILITY
- MORNING: Check assigned projects, pending approvals, measurements, 2D/3D, factory queries and site requirements; prioritize by deadline.
- DURING THE DAY: Complete drawings/renders; update customer feedback and Google Sheet; update selections, colour and edge-band; attend meetings;
coordinate with factory/PM.
- END OF DAY: Update project status, pending requirements, approval/design completion; confirm next-day priorities; report delays/critical issues.
16. PROJECT MILESTONE

17. KEY PERFORMANCE EXPECTATIONS
- Complete designs within committed timelines and maintain accurate drawings/measurements.
- Minimize Designer-caused errors and revisions; maintain complete customer requirements.
- Obtain approval before production and maintain proper drawing version control.
- Respond quickly to factory/site queries and ensure approved design is executed correctly.
- Maintain professional customer communication and coordinate with Sales, Accounts, Project Manager, Factory and Management.
- Never send unapproved drawings for production or make major changes without approval.
18. MANDATORY FACTORY PRODUCTION CHECK
- No project shall move to factory production without:
- 1. Accurate site measurement. 2. Final customer requirements. 3. Approved 2D drawings.
- 4. Approved 3D design. 5. Customer confirmation. 6. Final material/colour selections.
- 7. Hardware requirements. 8. Final design/site verification. 9. Complete factory drawing set.
DESIGNER CORE RESPONSIBILITY

EXECUTION
Pay: ₹20,000.00 - ₹45,000.00 per month
