Position Summary
The Enterprise Architect will provide strategic architecture leadership across the Bank's payment, settlement, financial market infrastructure, and digital transformation initiatives. The role will ensure alignment between business strategy, technology platforms, operational resilience requirements, and regulatory obligations.
The Enterprise Architect will define target-state architectures, technology roadmaps, integration standards, and modernization strategies for critical national payment systems.
Key Responsibilities
Architecture Strategy
- Develop and maintain enterprise architecture frameworks and roadmaps.
- Define target-state architecture for payment systems, RTGS, ACH, instant payments, switching, digital channels, and integration platforms.
- Align technology investments with business and regulatory objectives.
Solution Governance
- Review and approve solution architectures.
- Establish architecture standards, patterns, and governance processes.
- Ensure compliance with security, operational resilience, and regulatory requirements.
Payment Systems Architecture
- Provide architecture oversight for:
- RTGS
- ACH/EFT
- National Switch
- Instant Payments
- Payment Gateways
- Open APIs
- ISO20022 migration initiatives
Integration Architecture
- Define enterprise integration frameworks.
- Promote API-first and service-oriented architecture principles.
- Establish interoperability standards across banks, PSPs, and fintech participants.
Technology Modernization
- Develop modernization and migration strategies.
- Evaluate emerging technologies including cloud, AI, digital identity, and CBDC platforms.
- Assess vendor solutions and technology proposals.
Required Experience
- 12+ years of technology architecture experience.
- Minimum 5 years in banking, payments, central banking, or financial services.
- Experience with large-scale payment ecosystems.
- Experience with enterprise architecture frameworks such as TOGAF.
- Strong knowledge of:
- RTGS
- ACH
- Switching
- ISO20022
- SWIFT
- API ecosystems
- Security architecture
Preferred Certifications
- TOGAF
- Azure/AWS Architect
- CISSP
- Payments-related certifications
