Commercial Driver Recruiter is responsible for sourcing, screening, and hiring qualified commercial drivers (such as CDL drivers) to meet company staffing needs.
This role focuses on building a strong pipeline of candidates, ensuring compliance with transportation regulations, and maintaining a positive candidate experience.
Key Responsibilities:
- Source and attract qualified commercial drivers through job boards, referrals, social media, and recruiting events
- Screen resumes and conduct initial interviews to assess driver qualifications, experience, and fit
- Verify candidate credentials including licenses, certifications, driving records, and background checks
- Ensure compliance with industry regulations and company hiring standards (e.g., DOT requirements)
- Coordinate interviews with hiring managers and assist in the selection process
- Maintain and update applicant tracking systems (ATS) and recruitment databases
- Build and maintain relationships with driving schools, training programs, and industry networks
- Manage job postings and employer branding efforts to attract top talent
- Communicate job offers and assist with onboarding processes
- Track recruitment metrics such as time-to-fill and cost-per-hire
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field (preferred)
- Proven experience in recruitment, preferably in transportation or logistics
- Familiarity with commercial driver qualifications and regulations (e.g., CDL, DOT requirements)
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-volume hiring environment
- Proficiency in ATS and recruiting tools
- Strong organizational and time-management skills
Pay: ₹35,000.00 - ₹40,000.00 per month
