Qualification: B.E./B.Tech/Diploma in Mechanical Engineering, Production Engineering, Agricultural Engineering, or a related field.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and improve manufacturing processes for agricultural machinery and implements.
- Design and develop new products, components, fixtures, jigs, and tooling.
- Participate in New Product Development (NPD), prototype development, testing, and validation.
- Analyze production issues and implement process improvements to enhance productivity and quality.
- Prepare process sheets, SOPs, BOMs, work instructions, and engineering documentation.
- Conduct root cause analysis and implement corrective and preventive actions (CAPA).
- Coordinate with Production, Quality, Purchase, Tool Room, and Vendor Development teams.
- Optimize cycle time, reduce manufacturing costs, and improve overall equipment efficiency (OEE).
- Ensure compliance with quality standards, customer specifications, and safety requirements.
- Support continuous improvement initiatives using Lean Manufacturing, Kaizen, 5S, and TPM.
- Evaluate new manufacturing technologies, materials, and automation opportunities.
- Assist in product testing and field trials to improve product performance and reliability.
Required Skills:
- Strong knowledge of sheet metal fabrication, welding, machining, assembly, and agricultural equipment manufacturing.
- Experience in NPD, process development, and product validation.
- Proficiency in AutoCAD, SolidWorks, Creo, or CATIA.
- Good understanding of GD&T, engineering drawings, tolerances, and material selection.
- Knowledge of APQP, PPAP, PFMEA, Control Plan, and 7 QC Tools.
- Familiarity with Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, Kaizen, TPM, and 5S.
- Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving abilities.
- Good communication and cross-functional coordination skills.
- Proficiency in MS Excel and ERP systems.
