Litemed India Pvt Ltd
Quality Assurance Manager
Location: Adibatla, Hyderabad (on-site)
Department: Quality & Regulatory
Reports to: Head of Quality / Co-Founder
Experience: 6+ years in electronics manufacturing quality
About us
We're Litemed, a Hyderabad-based medical device company. We design and build the Curapod range of wearable devices that help people manage pain using light-based therapy. Everything is made in-house at our Adibatla facility, and we're growing fast, which means the quality of what leaves our line matters more every single month.
We're now looking for someone to take real ownership of that quality. Not to police a checklist, but to build the systems and habits that keep our products safe, consistent, and something we're proud to put on people's bodies.
What you'll do
- Run the day-to-day quality system across the whole line, covering incoming material checks, in-process controls, and final release before anything ships.
- Keep us audit-ready. That covers our ISO 13485 system along with our CDSCO and US FDA obligations, so we're never scrambling when an auditor or inspector shows up.
- Lead internal audits, dig into problems properly when they come up, and see corrective actions through to closure instead of letting them drift.
- Track the numbers that actually tell us how we're doing, such as defect rates, first-pass yield, and field returns, and use them to push improvements as we scale.
- Work closely with our suppliers on component and sub-assembly quality: qualifying vendors, setting inspection standards, and holding the line when parts aren't right.
- Partner with the R&D team on design controls and design transfer, so quality is built in from the start rather than bolted on later.
- Handle customer complaints and post-market feedback, and make sure anything that needs reporting gets reported on time.
- Build and mentor the QA/QC team as we grow the headcount.
What we're looking for
- A degree in Electronics, Electrical, Biomedical, or Mechanical engineering (or something close).
- At least 6 years running quality inside an electronics manufacturing company. We want someone who's genuinely owned quality for electronic products, not just observed it.
- Hands-on experience with a proper QMS (ISO 13485 ideally, ISO 9001 at minimum).
- A track record of leading audits, getting to the real root cause of issues, and driving corrective actions.
- A solid grasp of electronic component quality, PCBA inspection, and supplier management.
- Comfort with the usual quality toolkit (8D, FMEA, SPC, sampling plans) and knowing when to actually use them.
Nice to have
- Medical device experience and familiarity with CDSCO, US FDA (21 CFR 820), or EU MDR.
- Working knowledge of ISO 14971 risk management and IEC 60601 safety standards.
- Exposure to wearables, batteries, BLE-connected products, or optical/LED sub-systems.
- A lead auditor certification (ISO 13485) or Six Sigma Green/Black Belt.
Who tends to do well here
Someone who's rigorous and data-driven but also happy to get on the floor and figure things out. We move quickly, so you'll need to balance regulatory discipline with the speed of a company that's still building. If you like the idea of owning quality end to end, and being genuinely proud of what ships, you'll fit right in.
To apply, share your CV and a short note on the quality systems you've owned. We read every application.
