Housekeeping Supervisor
### *Position Summary*
The Housekeeping Supervisor ensures all guest rooms, public areas, and back-of-house spaces at M8 Eco Resort are clean, eco-friendly, and meet our hospitality standards. You’ll lead the housekeeping team, maintain quality control, and help create a comfortable, sustainable experience for our guests.
### *Key Responsibilities*
*Operations & Quality*
- *Room Inspections*: Check rooms daily to ensure cleanliness, proper linen, amenities, and eco-resort standards are met
- *Scheduling*: Create staff rosters, assign duties, and manage shift coverage for housekeeping attendants
- *Standards*: Train team on cleaning protocols, use of eco-friendly products, and guest privacy policies
- *Inventory*: Monitor stock of cleaning supplies, guest amenities, linen, and report shortages to procurement
*Team Leadership*
- Lead, coach, and motivate 2-3 housekeeping staff
- Conduct onboarding and regular training on safety, hygiene, and sustainable practices
- Handle attendance, leave, and performance reviews
- Address guest complaints related to housekeeping promptly and professionally
*Compliance & Coordination*
- Ensure adherence to health, safety, and environmental guidelines
- Coordinate with Front Office for room readiness, VIP arrivals, and special requests
- Coordinate with Maintenance for room repairs and upkeep
- Maintain logs for lost & found, damages, and deep-cleaning schedules
*Eco-Resort Focus*
- Promote waste reduction, water conservation, and use of biodegradable products
- Support resort’s sustainability initiatives with the team
### *Requirements*
- *Experience*: 2-3 years in housekeeping, with 1 year in a supervisory role. Resort/hotel experience preferred
- *Education*: 10th/12th pass. Diploma in Hotel Management is a plus
- *Skills*:
- Strong leadership and communication skills
- Knowledge of cleaning chemicals, equipment, and eco-friendly practices
- Basic computer skills for duty charts and reporting
- Ability to work flexible hours, weekends, and holidays
- *Languages*: Odia + Hindi/English for guest and staff communication
