Job Description
High Pro Feeds is looking for an experienced ETP professional with a Chemical Engineering background to independently manage and oversee the operation and maintenance of our Effluent Treatment Plant (ETP).
The candidate will be responsible for ensuring efficient ETP operations, maintaining required treatment parameters, monitoring water quality, and ensuring compliance with applicable environmental standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage the day-to-day operation of the ETP and ensure effective treatment of industrial effluent.
- Monitor and control ETP parameters such as pH, TSS, COD, BOD, sludge levels, and chemical dosing.
- Operate and monitor ETP equipment including pumps, aeration systems, clarifiers, dosing systems, filters, and other associated equipment.
- Ensure proper chemical selection, preparation, and dosing for effective treatment.
- Monitor treated water quality and maintain required operational standards.
- Identify and troubleshoot ETP operational issues and take corrective action.
- Coordinate with the production and maintenance teams to ensure smooth ETP operation.
- Maintain daily ETP logbooks, operating records, chemical consumption records, and other required documentation.
- Monitor sludge generation and ensure proper handling and disposal.
- Ensure regular cleaning, preventive maintenance, and upkeep of ETP equipment.
- Coordinate laboratory testing of effluent and treated water whenever required.
- Ensure compliance with Kerala State Pollution Control Board (KSPCB) requirements and environmental regulations.
- Prepare and maintain records and reports required for statutory inspections and compliance.
- Handle ETP-related emergencies and ensure uninterrupted treatment operations.
Requirements
- Diploma/Degree / B.Tech in Chemical Engineering – preferred.
- Candidates with a Chemical Engineering background and relevant industrial ETP experience will be given preference.
- Minimum 2 years of hands-on experience in ETP operation and management.
- Experience in food processing, fish meal, rendering, feed manufacturing, chemical, or other industrial processing plants will be an advantage.
- Good knowledge of biological and chemical wastewater treatment processes.
- Practical knowledge of chemical dosing, aeration, clarification, filtration, and sludge management.
- Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to independently manage ETP operations and supervise ETP personnel.
- Knowledge of environmental compliance and KSPCB requirements is preferred.
