We are seeking a Senior Frontend Engineer to help build and scale sophisticated web applications for a financial technology platform. This role is ideal for an engineer who enjoys solving complex technical problems, working with large-scale applications, and delivering high-impact product improvements.
You will take ownership of frontend development across core product experiences, including real-time user interfaces, advanced charting capabilities, platform features, and developer-facing tools. The role requires deep frontend expertise, strong engineering judgment, and the ability to work independently in a fast-moving environment.
While your primary focus will be frontend development, you should be comfortable collaborating across the stack and working with backend services and APIs when required to deliver complete solutions.
You will work closely with engineering and product leadership to improve application performance, accelerate product delivery, and build reliable experiences for users working with real-time financial data.
Key Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and maintain complex React-based applications with a focus on performance, scalability, and user experience.
- Build and enhance real-time product experiences, including interactive interfaces, data-driven applications, and visualization-heavy workflows.
- Own frontend features from technical planning and implementation through testing, deployment, and ongoing optimization.
- Contribute to the development and evolution of platform SDKs, including developer-facing components, APIs, and integration workflows.
- Create high-performance interfaces capable of handling live data streams, complex state management, and demanding user interactions.
- Collaborate with backend engineers to integrate REST APIs, WebSocket services, and other platform capabilities.
- Work across multiple frontend codebases, improving consistency, architecture, maintainability, and engineering practices.
- Identify technical challenges, propose solutions, and make sound engineering decisions with minimal supervision.
- Improve frontend reliability through performance tuning, debugging, testing, and code quality improvements.
- Support product initiatives by translating requirements into scalable technical solutions.
Required Qualifications
- 7–10 years of professional frontend engineering experience.
- Strong expertise in React and modern frontend development practices.
- Advanced knowledge of TypeScript and frontend application architecture.
- Experience building large-scale, complex, and highly interactive web applications.
- Strong understanding of frontend performance optimization and scalable UI development.
- Experience working with backend services, APIs, and full-stack application workflows.
- Hands-on experience with REST APIs and WebSocket-based real-time applications.
- Experience building applications involving large datasets, live updates, or complex visual interfaces.
- Ability to work independently, prioritize effectively, and solve ambiguous technical challenges.
- Experience in fintech, trading, financial markets, or other data-intensive industries.
- Ability to work from the Chennai office on-site.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience developing trading platforms, brokerage applications, or financial data products.
- Strong knowledge of visualization technologies such as Canvas, D3.js, WebGL, or custom rendering solutions.
- Experience creating SDKs, reusable component libraries, or developer-focused platforms.
- Experience managing real-time client-side data flows and complex application state.
- Familiarity with monorepo architectures and tools such as Nx.
- Experience building applications with internationalization (i18n) requirements.
- Background working on high-performance applications where speed and responsiveness are critical.
Pay: ₹5,000,000.00 - ₹9,000,000.00 per year
